Six commitments, and the evidence behind each one.
Every line below is either something Lignum Build publishes about how it works, or something a client has already written about a finished job. Nothing here is a promise invented for a website — and deliberately, nothing here is a claim about awards, certificates or a founding year we can't show you.
The commitment above all of them: One director, one point of contact: Pat prices the job, runs the job and answers for it when it's finished.
The person who prices it is the person running it
Patrick O'Malley is the sole director and he's on your job, not managing it from an office. One number to ring, and the answer comes from the man who wrote the quote.
Companies House lists Patrick O'Malley as sole director of Lignum Build Ltd (company 10691532). Every published client testimonial names him personally: "I contacted Patrick at Lignum for a quote…" — Roy, Markyate.
Complicated work explained calmly
Steel beams, relocated services, structural openings — the complicated parts get planned before they get priced, and explained to you in words that mean something.

A programme you can plan around
A date given is a date meant. Building work disrupts a household, and the single biggest kindness a builder can offer is finishing when they said they would.

Questions answered, patiently
Ask as often as you like. Knowing what happens next week is most of what makes living through a build bearable.

One firm carrying every trade
Bricklaying, plastering, plumbing, tiling and electrical work are all done by our own team — so the sequence is ours to control and the gaps between trades aren't yours to manage.
Lignum Build's own published service copy: the firm provides "all aspects of general construction including plumbing and electrical by our team of highly experienced professionals".
Joinery measured against reality
Bespoke work is surveyed off the finished opening and scribed on site, which is why it fits walls that aren't straight. It's slower, and it's the whole point of the name.
The firm's own description of its specialism: "We specialise in bespoke projects, let our team of highly skilled professional craftsmen make your vision a reality."
Notice what isn't on this page: no founding year, no certificate logos, no star rating. Only things Lignum Build publishes about itself, things a named client has already written, and a company number you can look up.
