Bespoke Joinery & Carpentry
Made for the room it goes in — the part of the firm the name was chosen for
Almost nothing in an older house is square, plumb or a standard size. That's the whole argument for bespoke joinery: a made-to-measure run of wardrobes fills an awkward alcove completely, where a flat-pack one leaves a filler panel and a gap that collects dust for twenty years.
This is the specialism Lignum Build is named for. Staircases, fitted wardrobes and cabinetry, panelling and boot rooms, doors and windows, media walls, window seats, and the architraves, skirtings and cornices that decide whether a refurbished room reads as finished or as nearly finished.

Measured, made, then fitted
Bespoke work starts with a survey of the actual opening rather than a nominal dimension — then it's drawn, made and fitted by the same people, with scribes cut on site so the piece sits tight to a wall that isn't straight. It's slower than buying a carcass, and it's the reason it looks built-in.
Joinery that matches the house it's in
In a Victorian villa we'll take a profile off an existing skirting or architrave and run new timber to match it; in a new build the details can be as plain and sharp as you like. Either way the point is that the joinery belongs to the building rather than to a catalogue.
Carpentry, first fix to second fix
Alongside the show pieces there's the structural carpentry that nobody sees: floor and roof structure, stud partitions, loft floors, decking and door linings — set out properly at first fix, because every neat second-fix finish depends on it.
